Introduction

The Professional Cookery QQI level 5 award will equip the learner with the knowledge, skill, and competence to work independently or under supervision in a professional kitchen. This course is progressive and is an ideal platform for further study in the area of Professional Cookery. Students may also gain employment in industry as Commis Chefs & obtain placement on the National Apprenticeship Programme in Professional Cookery.

Course Structure

This course offers learners the opportunity to study Professional Cookery in both a practical and theoretical environment to prepare students for entry into third level education, apprenticeships and the world of work. Work experience in the local catering sector will be of particular benefit.
